Juri (ジュリ, Juri) is Yohei's cousin of the same age, who lives in Hokkaido. She lives on a ranch and occasionally visits the Yamada family.
She seems to have a way with animals, and likes them very much. She seems have a mischievous personality but can actually be quite gentle.
She fell in love with Chi just from her photograph and was excited to meet Chi for the very first time. Her initial treatment with Chi was rough, which made Chi wary of her, but the two quickly began to get along, even causing Yohei to get a bit jealous. When the Yamadas were still thinking of giving someone to adopt Chi, Juri and her family was a main contender.
